Dr. Deb at National Wellness Conference, July 18 – 22

JUNE 25TH, 2010

Ever since 1994 when I introduced my research on mind/body interactions and healing through movement I have been presenting what I am most passionate about at the National Wellness Conference. Over the years I have presented sessions on Nia, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda, Urban Simplicity, Sugar and Stress, Spirituality and Fitness, Sustainable Living, Everyday Sensuality for Women, The Healing Power of Pleasure, and, of course The Conscious Body Method found in my book “Create the Body Your Soul Desires.”

I look forward to this conference each year not only because I have made so many good friends there, but also because it allows me the opportunity to debut brand new material.

So what are my hot new topics for this year’s conference? What am I most passionate about sharing? So glad you asked…here are my offerings for this year’s conference:

The Divine Feminine and Sacred Sexuality: For Women Only

(A full day pre-conference and a breakout session)

The power that lies dormant within our natural, healthy, sexual nature has the capacity to bring a type of fire into our consciousness that can be used to wake us up and fuel our lives, our careers, our relationships and our dreams. Our ability to know our essential nature is greatly enhanced when this shakti (life force) moves up and ignites our minds. By accessing this power within us, we can also love passionately, speak passionately, and connect to Source with passion. Healing and wholeness come as we reclaim our passion from a place of inner authority. What has become mundane becomes sacred once again. In this training session, you will learn intimate secrets from Ancient Taoist and Tantra practices as well as practical tools to ignite and direct your powerful sexual energy.

Taking Care of the Temple: 8 Spiritual Keys to Creating Holistic Health

Having studied and reflected on the Aramaic Lord’s Prayer for a decade, I have a clear understanding that this prayer transcends religion and is much more than just a prayer – it provides wise guidelines for living a healthy, whole and balanced life. That is why, as a health scientist and health educator, I am thrilled to share its deeper meaning as well as practical daily practices based on its wisdom.

The National Wellness Conference is open to anyone interested in health and wellness. It is a place where messages for hope, peace, and optimal living are shared with a unique blend of people from all walks of life. Inspiring and rewarding, participants leave with the tools for change. Are you interested in attending the National Wellness Conference? Click here to learn more.

I’d love to see you there!

Barbara’s Bellywood Baile Birthday Bash

APRIL 26TH, 2010

I LOVE my local WiLD Dance community that I get to dance with every Monday and Wednesday.  This past Wednesday I created a special class for one of our WiLD Dancers who has been so supportive of me by helping me with the details of managing class.  Her Joyous womenname is Barbara – so I called the class “Barbara’s Bellywood Baile Birthday Bash” in her honor.  We rocked out to belly dance, bollywood and latin tunes wearing mulit-colored, coin-covered belly dance scarves.
I sure wish you could have been here to experience the exuberant energy!  But since you live in all parts of the world, I thought the least I could do would be send you our playlist so you can enjoy moving to this fabulous music.  I’ve indicated the 4 sections of class:  WiLD Core (core strengthening), WiLD Dance (cardio), WiLD Strength (upper body resistance work) and WiLD Stretch (yoga)…but feel free to simply let the music move you and dance like there’s nobody watching!
