🌿 Stubborn Resistance
by Chelan Harkin
Sometimes I wake up and don’t want to grow.
I want to hide from the endless call
to open and open more.
I want to barricade the door
with furniture and silence—
say, “No one’s home”
to the Divine knocking at my edges.
I want to stay in a world
where I don’t dissolve,
where I get to keep my opinions,
my resentments,
my favorite defense mechanisms.
Where I don’t have to feel everything
or cry at inopportune times,
or risk looking foolish for loving so much.
But life is a relentless midwife.
She doesn’t care how tightly I cling
to the edge of what was.
She’s already pressing my back
into the wall of change,
saying,
“Breathe, beloved.
It’s time.”

Phew. March had two eclipses 🌕🌑 and extraordinary solar activity—solar flares, geomagnetic storms, and cosmic shifts that stirred the pot on every level. 🔥⚡️🌊 You’re not imagining it. If you’ve felt more tired, emotional, or just tender in your skin—you’re not alone. 🩷
Now we’re in April—a bridge month between the past we’re shedding and the future still forming. You may feel the pull to expand and the tug to stay safe and small. And that’s okay. We’re in the in-between. This week, we’ll move with gentleness and courage, allowing space for what’s ready to open... and space for what’s still afraid.
🌸 In the Shakti Sisterhood, April is the month we focus on compassionate purification—releasing gently, lovingly, and in rhythm with the body and soul. If you're craving a sacred space to soften, be witnessed, and receive ongoing support through the tender process of becoming, you're always welcome to join us here. 🩷
With tenderness,
Deb 🌷
